Presentation
Lichens are ecologically important for their sensitivity to atmospheric pollutants and are therefore called bioindicators. The presence of certain substances in the air, such as sulfur dioxide, leads to changes in lichen growth. By studying the growth of these organisms, it is possible to assess the quality of the environment.
A great thanks to Eraldo Bocca for collaborating on the realization of this CD with the documentation (photos and texts) on lichens.
